Pista Poori for a Happy Diwali 2011

I’ve decided to try some new recipe every Diwali. This time I tried this Pista Poori. It came out simply amazing! It tasted so yum.

Here’s the link I got it from Pista Poori

Here’s each stage of it:

The aata:

Cutting the rolled pieces:

Ready to be fried:

Our new frier. I’m super impressed with the new Cool Daddy frier we got. It’s very useful and will prove to be more so for Janmashtami when the cheedai decide to hit the ceiling. It has a lid you can close when things might pop up, it’s safe.

And finally soaking shining Pista Poori …. mmmm!

Stretch knit top

This top came out surprisingly well. I picked the pattern off Burdastyle magazine. The measurements were totally off. A constant problem I have with these patterns. Somehow they are always too loose for me over all or too tight on the waist. But I managed to fix the problems this time. Here it is:

The button emblishment and the pleats at the neck were all part of making it my size. The original pattern, the neck was way too deep.
